What is the value of x? Enter your answer in the box.

If you want to solve this question you need to know about angle bisector theorem, which we are going to use to solve this math problem.

According to Angle bisector theorem:

The angle bisector theorem states that in given triangle EHG let the angle bisector of angle E intersect side HG at a point D between H and G.

Then the ratio of the length of the line segment HD to the length of segment DG is equal to the ratio of the length of side EH to the length of side EG.

i.e., EH/EG=HD/DG

Putting the value, EG = 49, EH = 58.8, DG = 35, = x + 1

58.8/49 = (x+1)/35

49(x+1) = 58.8×35 = 2058

x+1= 2058/49

x + 1 = 42

x = 42 − 1

x = 41
